40K Update [Sort of...]

With the new release of the WH40K Tau Empire codex I went looking at all of my old Tau collection.  After I dusted them off (haven't played a serious 40K game in over a year), I decided to shoot pictures in my photo-booth.

I'm probably going to pick up the new XV-104 Riptide Battlesuits (I'm a sucker for 'suits!).  I have some assembled, but unpainted suits and vehicles around, so I think I'll be doing my new stuff in an urban paint scheme...maybe a grey digital camo pattern w/ my new airbrush.  It will of course, still have the same jade and yellow colors for trim. 

I will probably never catch up on my painting!

MERCS CCC Yellow Jackets

These guys had been sitting on my desk for nearly 2 years, so I decided to dust them off and get them painted.  Burned through these guys in just a few days, which is a record setting pace for me lately! 

I've got my next round of Ten Thunders stuff ready to paint, so that will all be coming soon!

Misaki

So, I've finally got my Mistress Misaki finished.  At least for now.  I'm contemplating going back and doing some OSL off of the energy-streak...but for now I'm going to call it a day. 

Here's all of the Ten Thunders that I have completed at this point. 

Next, I'll probably move on to Wyrd's Jakob Lynch and the Hungering Darkness as I continue to expand my Ten Thunders' crew.  I've also got some Oiran to paint up. 

I've also been cleaning up a lot of 10 and 15 mm Sci-Fi stuff to go w/ my N-scale 'Mechs.  I've acquired an airbrush recently and I'll be working on churning out lots of Sci-Fi infantry, vehicles, and 'Mechs.  Gotta use my up-and-coming vacation time wisely!

Some Classic Battletech and a Brief Walk on the Wild Side

Took a brief vacation from my Ten Thunders stuff for Malifaux and got back to my roots for a bit.  First is a Clan Dark Caste Bandit unit for a Clan Homeworlds campaign I've been playing in.  The unit is composed of an assortment of infantry, mechanized infantry, battle armor, a protomech, and a Woodsman Omni (the grandfather of the current Clan omnis).  Next is my Malifaux Hangin' Tree, and then a Marcus crew that I speed painted for game play.

Ninja VANISH!

It took me a while, but I finally got my Torakage and Shang finished. Shang was frustrating. I've painted, stripped, and redone him 3 times now. Still not sure I'm completely happy with it, but I've at least got it to a point where I'm not embarrassed to put it on the board. I still may add some more red, but for now I'm going to walk away and revisit when I'm not so frustrated.

Up next will likely be some Archers. Unlike other crews that I've done, I'm saving the master for last.
